What is a water-based nail polish?

AQMORE water-based nail polish uses purified water as a solvent base.

How does AQMORE's nail enamel differ from conventional nail polish?

Conventional nail polish contain acetone and other harmful chemical ingredients such as toluene or formaldehyde, which may cause headaches or nausea, strong colorants used in certain brands of nail polish also stain the nails, causing them to look unhealthy.AQMORE's nail enamels are made of purified water and edible pigments, which are gentle on your nails. It is also free of toluene or formaldehyde. AQMORE is a healthier choice for your nails, as it eliminates the occurrence of weak and brittle nails over time. Removal is also convenient, by simply dipping your finger in warm water and peeling-off the color. With AQMORE, you can officially say goodbye to tough-to-remove nail polish stains and stinging sensations caused by nail polish removers.

What is water-based nail polish?

Water–based nail polishes make use of purified water as the solvent base, which is neutral to your nails; conventional nail polishes make use of acetone as the solvent base, which is harsh dehydrating agent.

Won't the water-based nail polish come off when I shower or wash my hands?

No. Once dry, AQMORE's water-based nail enamel is non-soluble in water. Washing your hands or showering will not cause the nail enamel to come off, unless any abrasive action has been applied to it, to scratch or peel off the color. Protecting the nail color with a layer of top coat is strongly advised.

What if I like taking hot baths?

Soaking your fingers in hot water for a prolonged period of time e.g. 30 minutes, may cause the nail color to detach from the nail surface. To overcome this, affix the nail color in place and allow the fingers to dry.

Do I need to apply a layer of basecoat?

No, AQMORE's water-based nail enamel may used directly on the nail surface, without any basecoat, as it has been specially designed to be gently on your nails.

How many layers of enamel should I apply?

It is recommended that you apply at least 2 layers of the enamel for a full-bodied color.

How long does it take for each layer of enamel to dry?

Approximately 1 minute, depending on the thickness of the coat and humidity.Tips: To prevent bubbles from appearing on the nail surface, apply multiple thin coats of color, instead of one thick coat, so as to allow the color to dry quickly and evenly.

How do I ensure that the nail color lasts?

To ensure optimal product performance, AQMORE's water-based nail enamels MUST be used together with AQMORE's protective top coats, to seal in the nail color and prevent it from peeling easily. Once protected, the nail color can last from 5 days or more, depending on the kind of the activity that it is exposed to.

How many layers of topcoat should I apply?

It is recommended that you apply at least 2 layers of topcoat to seal in the nail color.Tip: To prevent the nail color from chipping at the tips, apply the topcoat over the edges your nails, as well as slightly underneath the nail surface to seal in the color.

How long does it take for each layer of topcoat to dry?

Approximately 2 to 3 minutes, depending on the thickness of the coat and humidity.

How long does it take for the enamel and top coat to set?

Approximately 30 minutes to an hour, depending on the thickness of the coats.

Can I use other brands of topcoats instead?

No. To ensure that the peel-off removal works, AQMORE's water-based nail enamel must be used with the AQMORE line of topcoats.The lastingness of the nail color cannot be guaranteed if you seek to use other brands of topcoats.Tip: You may consider using AQMORE's glitter topcoats over your conventional nail polishes for different color effects; the only difference is that you would still need to use nail polish remover to clean off the enamel, instead of peeling it off.

Why does it seem to be difficult for me to peel-off the nail color?

If your nails tend to be dry by nature or have been previously dehydrated by conventional nail polish and nail polish remover, it might be slightly more difficult to peel off the nail color as the nail surface is not smooth. Using improper removal techniques, such as peeling off the color without soaking it in water, may also cause seemingly "poor" performance.In addition, it is advisable for you to peel off the nail polish after 5 days of use to ensure easy removal.Leaving on the nail for longer periods will cause the nail polish to become excessively dry due to the loss of moisture, which makes it more adhesive. To overcome these problems, you may immersed in the water, use the flat end of the nail art stick to dislodge the color from nail edges, pushing gradually towards the center. Once the edges have been sufficiently dislodged, peel off the color in one swift action.

Why do my nails look slightly discolored after I peel off the color?

As our nails are porous, painting a layer of enamel over them may cause a reduction in oxygen supply to the nails, causing them to look slightly discolored.However, so not worry then regain their natural color, once sufficiently oxygenated.Tip: To enhance the health of your nails, use AQMORE's vitamin E & Collagen Enriched Nail Essence to nourish and moisturize your nails.

Why is it that the color on my nail tips often peels off easily?

This occurrence is normally brought about by the daily activities that we carry out with our fingers, such as typing, dish-washing, sports, etc, which tend to cause wear and tear. Furthermore, as our nail tips are often the first point of contact that we have with other abrasive surfaces, it is recommended that you apply a layer of the topcoat over the edges of the nails and slightly on its underside, to seal in the nail color and for added protection.Tip: Do consider using gloves when doing household chores to minimize the occurrence of chipping.
